The identity of the worker’s death crushed by a loader fork Laterrière Thursday, has been unveiled. It is Édouard Guernon, a 53 year old man, who lived on The Bay.

The used auto Parts Shock and lost his life Thursday around 15h in the backyard of the company located on the path of the Church in Laterrière. At the time of the tragedy, two men were in the outside for manipulating a loader that is used to lift and move used cars. At a certain point, the driver would have felt a bump when backing up. When he got out of the vehicle to know the cause, he saw his colleague.

The death of the man was evident with the arrival of the first relief.

“The work of the investigators of the identity Service judicial police of Saguenay is completed. It is an accidental death,” says Andréanne Nolin, a spokesman for the SPS.

The investigation of the Committee on standards of equity, fairness, and the health and safety at work (CNESST) is continuing with respect to it.

The employees were back at work Friday. The crisis unit of the CLSC has been requested on the spot from 8am in order to support the colleagues of the victim. Thirty people work at the company specializing in the sale of parts new and used.
