New in politics, MarieChantal Chassé will not have been minister for a long time. The prime minister caquiste François Legault announced on Tuesday by the end of the day she is dismissed from his functions as minister of the Environment.

Mr. Legault has made the “adjustment ” ministerial” just three months after forming his council of ministers. As several of its members have no political experience, he indicated that he had “taken a chance” with several of them.

Ms. Chassé is the only one, however, that he was asked to leave. According to him, this engineer in the aeronautics industry was beginning to understand her records, but she still had difficulty with the journalists, struggling to answer their questions.

She will remain the mp for Châteauguay and Mr. Legault said he did not exclude that it can get additional features in the future.

Ms. Chassé will be replaced by the mna Benoit Charette, who had not obtained of ministry last October. Mr. Charette said that they wanted to tackle emissions of greenhouse gas, especially in the field of transport, but reiterated that the project of building a third link between Quebec city and Lévis was not contrary to the visions environmental of his party.

After the election, Mr. Legault argued that he wished to give a more important place to the environment in the decisions of his government.
