The university ranks await eight football players of the Cougars, Cégep de Chicoutimi.
“This is an exceptional year for our players graduating who will be able, through their selection, continue to evolve on the side of the canadian universities next year. With eight players picked to 2019, this proves without any doubt that our players the Cougars are talented, well-trained, high-performing school and they are sought after on the market of college football, ” notes the head coach of the collegiate division three, Nicolas Ménachi, in a press release.
This historic cuvée has allowed the organization chicoutimienne to exceed the cap of thirty alumni who have graduated at university level since the foundation of the team in 2007, a number that now stands at 31. Last year, five players had been recruited, four in 2017, six in 2016.
Starting in the fall, the half defensive Jeremy Turbid will be part of the brigade of Green and Gold of the University of Sherbrooke. The half-offensive Alexis Boulangé, the offensive lineman Maxime Giroux, the half defensive Philippe Gagnon and recieving Jeremy Villeneuve and Mathieu St-Gelais join all the program of the Concordia Stingers. The half-offensive Jimmy Larose-Joubert will evolve with the Gee Gees of the University of Ottawa. Finally, the defensive lineman Boris Degas, ends up with the Carabins of the Université de Montréal.
