The Committee Super Bowl Alma returns in force this year, with the airing of the grand finale of american football, Sunday, 3 February. Fans are invited to gather in the Cage to Alma, to join the pleasant with the useful in having a good time while raising funds for the football players of the MRC Lac-Saint-Jean Is.
The organizing committee has unveiled details of the event during a press conference on Thursday. It is already the 27th year that the Committee Super Bowl organising this kind of activity and, over the years, a $ 26,000 were donated to the community.
The organizers will benefit from the opportunity to pay tribute, posthumously, to one of the builders in the person of Luc Thériault. The one who began his career as a football player in 1987 with the Tigers of the Pavillon Wilbrod-Dufour, before continuing his career in the Beauce region in the calibre college AAA, in the company of André Bolduc, Almatois well-known in the world of football regional.
Holder of a bachelor’s degree in physical education, Luc Thériault has brought the young soccer players in several calibers of play. He has been a technician in the recreational Curé-Hébert high school, and at the Pavillon Wilbrod-Dufour. He finished his professional career as head of the sports excellence at the UNIVERSITY.
The wife of Mr. Thériault, Érika Morin, and his two children, Pier-Olivier and Sophi-Gabrielle, will receive recognition during the evening of 3 February.
A native of Chambord, Joel Gagnon will be the guest player. The young man wore the colors of the Green and Gold of the University of Sherbrooke in the last season, establishing itself as an essential element.
Each member of the audience that will have bought a ticket will have a chance to win a Samsung tv of 43 inches. The ticket, sold at a cost of $ 40 includes a meal, a drink and a t-shirt.
